Q3D meets in Athens, Greece
The second plenary meeting of the Q3D project was held in Athens, Greece, on 22 November 2019, hosted at the premises of the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) 3DLife. The fundamental focus of this meeting was to discuss the current status and the progress of the project at the end of the 1st year. In more detail, the partners of the Q3D consortium presented the results of the research regarding data collection before, during and after the completion of 3D printing process, with emphasis on color and texture information, 2D and 3D geometric information, raw material, as well as intrusive information. In addition, the results of the experimental tests carried out to develop predictive models and create a decision-making system in order to improve the 3D printing process were presented. Finally, the use case scenarios and the specifications of the system that will contribute to the evaluation of innovative Q3D technologies and services were discussed, highlighting the future guidelines for the installation of the proposed technologies.
